Narrowed Lowered Beams Down!

Not much to update on the van really, high winds put a stop to play at the barn due to the size of the doors and the slightly exposed position. So I decided to do a bit on the site. The shop has been a bit of a work in progress for the last couple of months really. When we were only dealing with Bergs really they warranted a separate part to the shop but now we are dealing with CB Performance Scat and others it made more sense for all the parts to be under one section. This means we can now use the other part of the shop for second hand parts. We will not always have parts in there but when they are available we will put them in. We have also dropped the price on the CB performance narrowed beams. You can find them in the parts section of the shop.

Stripping the front again.

Well the season is already under way and with still no engine and a few bits still required to finish it off, I decided to crack on with the front end, I stripped the CSP brakes off which are still in phenomenal condition to be fair. They're sold and on their way to Neil. Thanks Neil.
The spindle on the offside is giving me a little bit of a cause for concern as the thread seems quite badly damaged on it. The lock nut was quite stiff as it was coming off initially. Might have to have a look at it before we continue. Anyway the grand strip down is ready for the new beam to go on, we are going 2 inch narrowed at the front. We were initially going in a little more than that, The BRM's that are on at the moment do not have the greatest offset so you end up with wheels that sit further out than is ideal. But as there is now a set of Gas burners sat in my lounge waiting to be fitted up, I thought I would just go for the 2 inch narrowed version. I have been working for a while on trying to develop a disc brake system of our own to overcome some of the problems of importing sets from abroad. Keep your eyes peeled here for updates but we should have ours fully tested and ready to go on sale in the shop soon.
